Samuel Ziegler

Samuel Ziegler is a veteran of the Silicon Valley startup community.  He has over fifteen years of development and management experience in software companies of all types including enterprise business applications, EDA, shrink-wrap software, SaaS and consumer oriented websites.  Sam joined as the founding engineer of Amaratech & Nugougo after spending a year living on a beach in Thailand.  Before moving to Silicon Valley, he began his career as part of the OS/2 team at IBM's TJ Watson Research center.  Most recently his focus has been on mobile application development and the design of highly scalable and available distributed systems.  The latter culminating in his time as an architect and manager on Amazon SimpleDB.

Sam holds a BS in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and is a scuba diver, traveler and media fanatic.
