CH&LA Most Innovative Technology Award 2011

  The Chancellor Hotel's Mobile Application, designed by NugoUgo, was selected as the Technology Innovation of the Year winner in the Stars of the Industry Award Ceremony hosted by the California Hotel & Lodging Association.

Every year the California Hotel & Lodging Association recognizes and celebrates the creative accomplishments of both the employees and their property in the lodging industry that best display the quality service and creative innovation expected of the industry. The Stars of the Industry Awards Program was created by the American Hotel & Lodging Association more than forty years ago, and it has since remained one of the most prestigious award programs for those in the lodging industry.  

The Technology Innovation of the Year recognizes the property that used the most innovative advances in technology to optimize their property's performance. The mobile application developed by NugoUgo for the Chancellor Hotel demonstrated the successful application of the technology to improve guest service, reduce operational costs, and increase revenue growth.

  Entries in five major property categories are judged against a stringent set of two standards for hotels with less than one hundred fifty rooms and hotels with more than one hundred fifty rooms. This year the award was given at the California Hotel & Lodging Association's Annual Members and Stars of the Industry Luncheon on November 30th, 2011 at the Balboa Bay Resort & Club in Newport Beach
